Rope Sheaves

acc. to DIN 15018, 15061, 15062, 15063, or in accordance with customer specification

Our rope sheaves are proven as reliable machine components for mechanical engineering, mining, large excavator construction, crane construction, offshore, drilling, conveyor construction, grab construction projects as well as for stage machinery and stacker cranes.

Due to low deadweight and low inertia value, undesirable lagging of the rope sheave will be avoided when breaks are abruptly applied to the rope transmission. Therefore slight rope wear. This is also of significant advantage for jibs on slewing cranes, where the tilting moment and the entire crane weight can be favourably influenced. A maximum weight saving per rope sheave of appr. 60 to 75 per cent is possible compared to cast steel sheaves.

This applies particularly to throat sheaves. All rope sheaves listed in our brochure can be equipped with self-aligning or spherical roller bearings, tapered-roller bearings or flexible spring bushes. Further bearing options are available upon request. Sheeting for spoked sheaves is available upon request. Single- and double web sheaves are also available with narrow hub width.

FEATURES:

  • All rope sheave diameters – internal and external – are manufactured according to DIN as well as customers specifications (D1 + D2)
  • Symmetrical or asymmetrical hub design
  • Low weight for spoked-, single- and double web sheaves
  • High strength in the groove bottom area, additional inductive hardening upon the request
  • Low moment of inertia
  • Minimal rope slippage
  • No prior modelling
  • No shrink holes

BENEFITS

  • Long service life
  • Short lead times
  • Attractive prices
